I am the Data Visualization and Analysis Librarian at a large research university in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in data analysis, assessment, and information visualization. I frequently work with Tableau to turn data into understanding and to teach visual best practices.

I create library dashboards here, and my personal Tableau profile is here. You can also find me on twitter at @visualibrarian

My background is in academic publishing, where I’ve worked as a journals editor and the business and data operations manager for a small independent press. After moving towards librarianship, I’ve found myself addicted to the more subjective questions surrounding data practices: data ethics, data literacy, personal visualization, and digital humanities.
